Putting sustainability on the menu: a look back at the Clariane recipe contest
For Clariane, European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW) is much more than just an event. It’s an invitation for every member of the Clariane community to educate themselves and take action at their own level. The latest edition focused on sustainable food to better understand its social and environmental impacts while promoting responsible cooking within our facilities. Because what we eat helps shape the future, Clariane launched a sustainable recipe contest, inviting teams to submit creative, responsible and delicious dishes.
A European contest to promote responsible cooking
From 29 September to 24 October 2025, 69 Group facilities enthusiastically took up the challenge. The sustainable recipe competition included three themes: seasonal fruit, traditional and plant-based, and waste prevention. Each recipe told a story: showcasing local products, reinventing classic recipes or transforming leftovers into gourmet dishes.
The European jury of Clariane employees from all Group countries discovered their colleagues’ original, planet-friendly entries.
