Better ageing through diet and physical activity: Clariane France reaffirms its commitment to tackling undernutrition
Sommaire :
To mark National Undernutrition Week, organised from 17 to 23 November 2025, Clariane France and its teams are partnering with the Collective to Combat Undernutrition. True to its mission of supporting vulnerable people, the group makes diet and physical activity two essential components of better ageing.
A collective and human commitment
En renouvelant son partenariat avec le Collectif de lutte contre la dénutrition, Clariane France confirme que la nutrition et l’activité physique sont indissociables d’une prise en soin de qualité.
By renewing its partnership with the Collective to Combat Undernutrition, Clariane France reaffirms that nutrition and physical activity are inseparable from quality care.
Every initiative, whether national or local, embodies the same conviction:
Caring means nourishing both the body and the social bond.
The fight against undernutrition – a long-term commitment
Clariane France is a partner of the Collective to Combat Undernutrition and is committed to:
- raising awareness among the general public and professionals of the challenges of undernutrition;
- communicating best practices and contributing to prevention;
- sharing the results of the work carried out on the ground;
- actively supporting the Collective’s initiatives throughout France.
Our senior citizens’ health depends on good diet and exercise. At Clariane, we make nutrition as important a care pillar as human relationships and medical support.
A holistic approach to care through food
In Korian and Inicea facilities, nutrition is an integral part of the care pathway for residents and patients. Meals are prepared on site from fresh, seasonal, whole local produce and contribute to the well-being and health of the people we care for.
National Undernutrition Week: a major event for facilities
From 17 to 23 November, Korian care homes and, depending on local initiatives, Inicea clinics will offer a range of activities:
- culinary workshops, kitchen tours and demonstrations by chefs;
- adapted physical activities to encourage residents and patients to keep moving;
- quizzes, tastings and intergenerational meetings around the theme “Better ageing through diet and physical activity”.
Some of these events are part of the campaign led by the Collective to Combat Undernutrition, which Clariane is supporting. The aim is to bring residents, their families and local stakeholders together, sparking action and improving awareness of the pleasure of eating and moving.
The Apprentice Contest: passing on an appetite for care
For the first year, Clariane France is promoting young catering talents through the Apprentice Competition, organised by the Collective to Combat Undernutrition, in partnership with Korian and Inicea apprentices accompanied by their tutors. Each pair demonstrates the knowledge-sharing and appetite for care that’s at the core of our catering roles.
The event showcases the creativity, technical abilities and passion of our apprentice cooks, while raising their awareness of nutritional issues and the essential role of food in care.
It’s a practical way to prepare the next generation and to pass on the culture of good food that’s central to the Group’s business activities.
End-of-year celebrations – a time of sharing and indulgence
The events will continue in December with Christmas markets, community action and pastry workshops organised within care facilities. Moments of togetherness such as these are a reminder that better ageing also means continuing to share experiences and enjoy life.
