Preventing respiratory infections: Clariane gets its facilities involved in its vaccination drive
As winter approaches, Clariane is launching its annual influenza vaccination campaign, supported by measures to raise awareness of and prevent respiratory infections. In place from 13 October, the campaign also includes COVID-19 vaccination for eligible residents of Korian homes to help protect the most vulnerable people.
Taking care of caregivers
Respiratory infections pose a significant risk to the elderly or frail. In particular, they can lead to serious complications and hospitalisations.
Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to prevent severe forms and protect at-risk populations.
Continuing work to raise awareness and facilitating access to vaccination are essential tools to help better protect the people being cared for in the Group’s facilities.
A programme for all Group professionals
As part of this campaign, Korian long-term care nursing homes and Inicea clinics are working to facilitate access to influenza vaccinations for eligible residents, patients and professionals.
In Korian homes, COVID-19 vaccination is also being offered to eligible residents.
The company’s efforts go beyond vaccination, including awareness-raising efforts targeted at residents, patients, professionals and their families. As part of this approach, several educational resources are being made available to inform people and encourage vaccination.
At the same time, facilities also rely on epidemic prevention and monitoring mechanisms, allowing teams to adapt measures as necessary to limit the spread of respiratory infections.
Prevent, protect, care
True to its mission of supporting vulnerable people, Clariane is part of a broader approach to prevention and public health.
Vaccination, raising awareness among relevant groups and preparing facilities for outbreaks are all complementary tools that can help limit the risks associated with respiratory infections.
By involving its facilities and teams, the Group reaffirms the importance of a collective prevention approach adopted by all, based on information, anticipation and vigilance, to help protect the health of the people they care for.
