Coveted prize for the first time awarded to companies in the care sector in Germany.
Making the nursing profession more attractive
Korian has been named Top Employer 2021, the first company in Germany in the care sector to receive the award. The prize has been awarded annually since 1991 by the Top Employers Institute, one of the world's leading providers of certification of outstanding working conditions. With over 23,000 employees, Korian is the largest private employer in the care sector in Germany.
We scored particularly well in the areas of learning and development, people strategy, digital HR, and values and diversity. In addition to a clearly defined HR strategy, the decisive factors for the result and certification were transparent and efficient HR processes, good induction of new employees, the company pension scheme and healthcare and further development programs for management and nursing staff such as the European management development program "s.Keys - Skills for Share".
"The award is an important milestone for us. It shows that our efforts to make the nursing profession in Germany more attractive also stood up to the strict criteria of Top Employer certification," sums up Eva Lettenmeier, Chief Human Resources Officer at Korian Germany. Especially in the Corona crisis, she says, it is a central concern for the entire management to assist employees and managers as best as possible, to support them and to enable them to benefit from modern framework conditions for the special challenges in everyday nursing care. "I therefore pass on the Top Employer to every facility manager in Germany who has managed and been responsible for a care facility during this time".
This distinction is an encouragement to pursue our business project, "In Caring Hands », the HR aspect of which is broken down into 8 commitments to promote a quality empLoyee experience, in particular to make each and every actor in this project.
About Top Employer: : Each company must answer more than 360 questions on seven different company areas during the certification process. At the virtual certification ceremony last Thursday, Korian was honored along with companies from all over the world, including corporate giants from various industries such as SAP, DHL, Puma and Canon.
