Top Afep 2024

Created in 2018 by the AFEP, the French Association of Private Enterprises, the Top AFEP conference offers executives from 300 SMEs and mid-sized companies from all over France and across all sectors the opportunity to meet executives from the 40 largest French companies in one-on-one meetings. It is a unique event that aims to create new partnerships and support SMEs and mid-sized companies with their growth and development projects. Sophie Boissard, Clariane Chief Executive Officer, attended the sixth edition of this event, which took place at the CESE, the French Economic Social and Environmental Council, on 16 March.

To meet the demographic challenge and, more broadly, the significant challenges of vulnerability in our regions, we are developing an open innovation and continuous improvement approach with a network of expert partners, serving patients, residents, their families and our caregivers. Sophie Boissard’s involvement in Top Afep since its launch exemplifies this.

Top AFEP: a morning of speed dating to build common synergies for growth and to promote our regions

Seven minutes, and not a minute more! This is how long managers of SMEs/mid-sized companies have to convince the managers of large companies. Seven minutes to identify concrete solutions and support entrepreneurs in their growth.

Since Sophie Boissard’s first participation in Top AFEP, nine close partnerships (past and present) with Clariane have been born:

  • Ludilabel (creator of name tags)
  • Postforming (interior designers, general contractor)
  • Moulinot (a social enterprise that collects and recycles food waste)
  • Primobox (digital safe)
  • DataSoluce (software for monitoring construction projects)
  • Les Jules (small maintenance projects)
  • Fleurs d’ici (short-chain flower distribution)
  • Blue Select (general construction company)
  • Furniture for Good (manufacturer of furniture from waste)

As a committed local operator, Clariane supports entrepreneurs and managers of SMEs and mid-sized companies who innovate and participate in developing regional economies. Thanks to Top AFEP, we cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships dedicated to healthcare and to addressing vulnerabilities.

“We recruit nearly 5,000 people every year in France. […] Caring for patients means knowing them, being happy in your team, and being happy in your job. At Clariane, all our employees have a role to play in making a difference in their day-to-day lives, career paths, and environment. Meaning is key. […] Today, 12% of our employees are on a training course that will lead to a qualification. More than 3,000 people each year graduate from our corporate university.”

Clariane also attended the first Top Jeunes event organised by AFEP on 15 March 2024. 310 15- and 16-year-old students from the academies of Paris, Versailles and Créteil were welcomed at the CESE, along with their teachers, to meet AFEP companies and discover the diversity of professions and careers. The Minister of National Education and Youth Nicole Belloubet and Roland Lescure, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, in charge of Industry and Energy also attended the event.

It was an opportunity for Sophie Boissard to introduce them to Clariane and its operations, and to raise awareness of the health and care professions.
